What is CAPM Certification?

Earning the CAPM® credential shows you hold the foundational knowledge and skills that project team’s demand. It also shows that you’re ready to take on a wide range of projects, including predictive (waterfall) project management, agile project management, and business analysis.

The CAPM® certification can be an essential first step in building a career as a project manager. It also allows you to position yourself to pursue other key certifications including the Project Management Professional (PMP®) designation.

The Project Management Institute (PMI®) now offers an updated 150-question CAPM® certification exam that covers project management fundamentals and core concepts. Updates to the exam include:

  • Agile frameworks/methodologies
  • Business analysis frameworks
  • Predictive plan-based methodologies

Continuing Education Units

Am I Eligible for the CAPM Exam?

To sit for the exam, you must meet the following CAPM requirements:

  • Have a secondary degree, such as a high school diploma, GED (general educational development), or global equivalent
  • Have at least 23 hours of project management education completed before the exam (PMI’s online Project Management Basics course can help fulfill this requirement)

Our training fees includes 35 hours of training. Other charges are listed below, in addition to the price of the 35 hours of training for the PMP or the 23 hours for the CAPM.

$10 one-time application fee for PMI (to become PMI member)

$405 for the PMP exam (as PMI Member)

$225 for the CAPM Exam (as PMI Member)

A student can take an exam any time after formally completing the course, but we strongly encourage students to take the exam after several days of reviewing the class material that we have covered during the course to ensure the utmost best performance.
